Thankyou very much :) My Night Lords are very much my premier army, so I want each one to have his individual flavour, something that tells a story. Whether it be just a bit of extra work in the base, some painted detail or a complete reposing with kitbash, I want these guys to really stand out! After they're finished, I'm thinking of working with a small force from a loyalist legion, maybe 1000pts. I just can't decide on the legion - it's between Salamanders and Imperial fists I think.
Those are good choices. I think I'd probably lean towards fists personally, but I like yellow. Both colors will be a nice change from the night lords. Plus fists also become templars so there is always that :)
Exactly! A chance to work with a new colour palette would be fantastic. Something bright and eye catching. I think I'd couple it with a more realistic style, no non-metallics and with some use of weathering powders. Visually striking, and yet gritty and real!
Ooooh I really like the metallic work on that sword in the last shot! That's really nicely done!
ReplyDeleteReally wicked cool models. I can see where this would be a labor of love. Each one of these guys has the details of an HQ...
Thankyou very much :)
