Getting these models ready for sunday, I've been in a mad rush, so I used secret weapon's mud basing kit. Works amazingly well if you can prevent it from clumping. I havent been able to get the consistency right thus far, so I've had to use my sculpting tools to spread out clumps on the bases like hard little balls of nutella.
Anyhow, the effect is good so here it is.

Hey Byron,
ReplyDeleteIt might be a bit late now, but did you see mrjustins, dirt/mud video he posted yesterday? He just showed how you could literately dump some actual dirt and such within the mud to add additional texture.
That being said, these guys look great already!
Woah! It actually never occured to me to do that. I'm really quite happy with secret weapon's formula. They give you some pigments to make up your colour, and you add sand and plaster and mix it with water effect, then seal with water effect. I'd love to do a trench themed Krieg army, but I don't think I'll get around to it - too many projects already!
